Going second hand
Many of us often wonder where to buy quality guitars for the best price. And when people say best that would indirectly mean the cheapest or the most non expensive yet durable ones one could find. Now, there are tons of shops and retailer for whichever type of guitar you'd like to purchase. Acoustic, bass, 12 string guitars, electric or left-handed you name it there's always a shop for such type. The problem is most of them are rarely cheap and may perhaps be out of pocket for many.
The best way to deal with this is to check on pre loved pieces or units that are still playable and fully functioning. This way you are able to save money more or less around half its original price while achieving the goal of purchasing a unit. You can even spot a custom or a limited edition guitar that someone is selling quickly for cash. That would be a really great bargain if you know what you are looking for, you can even ask your friends who among them is selling their guitar so you'd know its history and how it was used.
Since these guitars are pre-loved it is essential to pay more extra attention on the guitar's physical details and to keep an extra eye on undetectable damages that a bogus seller might be trying to hide from a not so meticulous buyer. Make sure that the guitar is in great condition and if it has minor marks or scratches make certain it does not hinder the performance of the instrument. Check the neck thoroughly as this is a very important part. It should not be out of shape, cracked or at any point warped. Test the string intonations as well as the sound of the guitar. If you're not satisfied with the sound of the guitar DO NOT buy it.
It is also advisable to go with second hand guitars of brands with brilliant reputation such as Crafter Guitars. Or Gibson's as they are of top quality and would still be usable in the longer run. To spot pre-loved finds, you can visit eBay, trusted bidding sites, second-hand item seller shops and flea markets often. Do not be impulsive and be patient in the search and purchase. Also, do not forget to change the strings of your guitar as well as the pick-ups or some of its knobs for it to produce the best sound that it can in its second hand condition.
